Penny had four pins in her back left leg and a few connecting rods to immobilise the joint. The metalwork stayed in place for 6-8 weeks and then another 4 weeks rest was needed. She'll be spending quite a long time in her cage. Penny is doing remarkably well since waking up and finding someone had screwed a lot of miniature scaffolding to her leg! She now has had the metalwork and dressing removed. She is allowed gentle exercise, which entails a small amount of walking on a lead from room to room.
